Project Description
In collaboration with the International Finance Corporation (IFC), one of the five organizations that form the World Bank Group, Capital Chains conducted a SCF Readiness Quick Scan for Banco Commercial e de Investments (BCI) in Mozambique.
With over 60 years of experience and operations in more than 100 countries, IFC is the largest global development institution focused on unlocking private investment and the creation of markets and opportunities in developing countries. With their global network, IFC is able to apply lessons learned in one region to solve complexities in other (developing) regions.
Within this project, IFC partnered-up with Capital Chains to determine BCI’s readiness to start offering SCF solutions in Mozambique.
The project included internal cross-functional interviews, combined with interviews with leading corporates who provided the crucial external insights for future product development and prioritisation.
Based on the results from the Quick Scan, Capital Chains supported BCI in designing their SCF program and selecting the SCF technology provider to run the first pilot program.
This stage focuses on the implementation of the selected SCF technology provider, set-up of the products within the bank and the initial roll-out towards pilot clients.
